As we look to matchday three, UEFA.com takes a look at some of the most popular picks among managers, as well as lesser held assets that might surprise on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation.
GUARDIANS
Popular choice
Manuel Neuer (€6.0m) against Pilsen (H)
Although Neuer’s #UCLfantasy ownership percentage is lower than what would usually be expected of a popular pick, the German is the second highest goalkeeper in the state. With two clean sheets and 13 Fantasy points in the first two rounds of Group C, Neuer’s stock should only increase heading into Matchday 3, in which Bayern will host a losing Plzeň side. their two group matches so far.

Antonio Adán (€4.5m) against Marseille (A)
Another goalkeeper who is coming off back-to-back UEFA Champions League shutouts. Six saves in Sporting CP’s 2-0 triumph over Tottenham saw Adán pick up eight Fantasy points, the highest among matchday two goalkeepers. On Matchday 3, Rúben Amorim’s side travel to Marseille, who are yet to score in Group D, and The weak #UCLfantasy ownership combined with its cheap price tag make it a potential buy.

DEFENDERS
Popular choice
Alphonso Davies (€5.5m) against Pilsen (H)
Bayern’s defensive assets are in high demand by the #UCLfantasy community. Davies has started both of Bayern’s wins so far and has collected 11 balls to contribute to his overall Fantasy point score of 15. The Canadian full-back’s attacking threat complements his defensive qualities and makes him a popular asset ahead of the German champions’ meeting with Pilsen in Munich.

Potential differential
Joël Matip (€5.0m) against Rangers (M)
Although Liverpool failed to keep a clean sheet against Ajax, centre-back Matip finished with a 13-point run, trailing only one other defender on matchday two. Matip scored the winning goal for the Reds, to go along with his seven ball recoveries which earned him the player of the match bonus. Jürgen Klopp’s side host Rangers on matchday three, with the Scottish outfit having so far failed to find the net in Group A, and Matip could prove a great differential option.

MIDFIELDS
Popular choice
Kevin De Bruyne (€10.5m) against Copenhagen (H)
Despite his high price tag, De Bruyne is still among the top five most popular midfielders on #UCLfantasy. Manchester City’s creative center De Bruyne netted a goal in wins over Sevilla and Dortmund, and the Belgian’s overall performances earned him player of the match awards in both games. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 31-year-old’s ownership increase further ahead of the matchday three deadline, with a home game against Copenhagen for the Premier League champions.

Potential differential
Alexis Saelemaekers (€6.7m) against Chelsea (A)
Another Belgian midfielder who is causing a stir in the UEFA Champions League is Milan’s Saelemaekers, the 23-year-old after his goal and Matchday 1 player of the match award when he found the net on Matchday 2. Despite having already racked up 17 fantasy points, Saelemaekers remains somewhat overlooked by the majority of #UCLfantasy managers, so those looking for a point of difference within their midfield could make huge gains by bringing him in for matchday three, Milan traveling to a Chelsea side who conceded in each of their first two games.

FORWARDERS
Popular choice
Kylian Mbappé (€11.1m) against Benfica (A)
Despite the plethora of attractive attacking options among Paris Saint-Germain’s frontline, Mbappé remains the most in-demand asset from a #UCLfantasy perspective. The Frenchman’s 22 points are the best among forwards thanks to three goals and two player of the match awards. Only Erling Haaland among the forwards has more owners than the 23-year-old and although a tough trip to Benfica awaits him on Matchday 3, the formidable Mbappé could certainly provide more goals.

Potential differential
Ferran Jutglá (€5.5m) against Atlético (H)
The differential diamond of the second day. No player has scored higher in Fantasy than Jutglá’s 14 points in Club Brugge’s 4-0 draw against Porto. Jutglá not only won and scored a penalty, but also netted his team’s second goal, helping them win the player of the match award. The Spaniard’s bargain price should only boost his credentials for #UCLfantasy bosses looking for a striker who could help them steal a march on their mini-league rivals. Club Brugge’s next opponent, Atlético, conceded three goals in Group B.
