Bournemouth footballer Jordan Ibe was banned from driving after running over his Bentley in a cafe and leaving.
The incident, which occurred last July, caused thousands of pounds of damage and resulted in a fine of £ 7,500 for Ibe.
The 24-year-old winger also struck a Mercedes car when it crashed into The Pantry on Plaistow Lane in Bromley, south-east London, shortly before 5 a.m. on July 30.
Ibe was found guilty of careless driving and was convicted on one count of failing to stop after an accident during a court hearing in February.
He was sentenced to a 16-month driving ban and a 12-month community order on Tuesday at a court hearing in Bromley.
In a statement read by his lawyer Frank Rogers after the hearing, Ibe said, “I accept full responsibility for my actions and my lack of judgment while driving.
“I apologize without reservation to those whose property I have damaged.”
He added: “I also want to apologize to my Bournemouth club, my manager Eddie Howe, my teammates, my fans and especially my family. I realize that I have dropped them all, this is not the example I want to set for others. “
