Real Madrid director Jerónimo Farre says he is excited about the start of the season.
Real are well placed to win a double in La Liga and the Champions League.
Referring to Barcelona, Farre said at a reception yesterday: “Real Madrid are in a fantastic situation to win La Liga, 11 points ahead with six games remaining, so it must be very bad for them not to win the title.
“The Champions League is a different story, because there is one bad day, whether you are in the semi-final or the final, it throws you out. And if not, tell Klopp, who lost two finals against Real Madrid.
“But you have a bad day and you get knocked out, that’s why it’s so difficult to win two Champions Leagues in a row. Last year City won with a great team, and they still have a great team and a great coach, but they’re not going to win two Champions Leagues in a row.”
