Goodwill Central East Texas invites book lovers to a grand opening this Friday morning at 8 a.m. The Goodwill Bookstore and Donation Center will open to the public at their location at 2421 North Street in Nacogdoches.
The store will feature hundreds and hundreds of books, from fiction to non-fiction, instructional books to cookbooks. Paperbacks start at just 99 cents.
The digital age has brought the convenience of being able to download books to computer players or listen to your favorite works on audiobooks. But, there’s still something rewarding about being able to hold a real book in your hands and flip through paper pages without having to scan a computer screen.
It’s more than books
This is a bookstore and tons of titles are available to you, however, you will find other items in this new store. Halloween and fall decorations are in the spotlight. It might not feel like the fall season yet, but you can get yourself into a cooler state of mind by browsing through some of these home decor items.
There are other trinkets and collectibles, you’ll even find special candies to buy.
Make a purchase and help a cause
When you buy from a Goodwill store, you are helping to create a chance for members of our community to find great jobs and advance their careers. Goodwill’s mission is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment through job training and job placement.
When you donate money or items to a Goodwill donation center, you are also helping to fulfill this mission.
Goodwill Central East Texas has 2 stores in Lufkin, 1 in Diboll and now two in Nacogdoches.
