Taylor Swift has revealed her latest album is a “secret double album” – with 15 more tracks than fans expected.
In a surprise at 2am (around 7am UK time), the 34-year-old announced on social media that The Department of Tortured Poets: The Anthology includes a second installment.
She wrote: “It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a DOUBLE secret album. I had written so much tortured poetry over the last 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here it is the second part of TTPD: The Anthology 15 more songs And now the story is no longer mine… it’s all yours.
It is the superstar’s 11th studio album and contains 31 songs spread over two hours.
Fast announced the details of the case in February this year, when she won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.
At the time, she revealed that the new album included collaborations with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine who feature on the tracks Fortnight and Florida!!!, respectively.
Swift reportedly included songs about her breakups with British actor Joe Alwyn and 1975 star Matty Healy in the album, while a song full of American football references is said to be inspired by her latest romance with the NFL star Travis Kelce.

The 15th track, The Alchemy, appears to be a nod to his relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs star with references to American football terms including team, hot benches, winning streak and trophy , and also features the phrase: “So when I land, call the amateurs and kick them off the team.
She started dating the athlete last year and her participation in the Super Bowl was broadcast on screens around the world, including that kiss with Kelce after the Chiefs’ victory.
Kelce, who landed a role as host of game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?, said he listened to parts of the album and said it was “amazing”.
So Long, London is number five on the tracklist – the slot reserved for the most significant song from each of Swift’s albums – and is expected to offer further insight into her split from The Favorite actor Alwyn after six years together.
In the lyrics, Swift hints at marriage plans by singing, “You swore you loved me but where were the clues, I died on the altar waiting for the proof”, while being upset about having to leave London , what she said. she loved”.
The album’s very title may refer to a WhatsApp group previously created by Alwyn with fellow actors Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal, called The Tortured Man Club.
