Joe Swash was rushed to hospital for the second time on Friday after being injured in the ear earlier this week when he was kicked in the head with an ice skate.
The 38-year-old TV presenter asked for an update on his injury, but ended up draining the “ goo ” after it was built in the past few days.
Joe, who is associated with professional skater Alex Murphy, underwent surgery just a few days ago to clear his ear injury after being infected and went to have it checked before rehearsals.

However, rather than removing his huge bandage as he had hoped for during his follow-up appointment, he had to undergo another procedure.
Speaking on his Instagram story, Joe said, “ I went to the hospital and my ear swelled up again and they had to empty it, which was honestly the worst feeling in the world.
“But the worst feeling in the world is that I think the bandage has gotten bigger.”

Joe revealed that he had to undergo emergency ear surgery to drain the “ goo ” after his wound was infected on Wednesday evening.
He checked out his Instagram stories to give fans an update on his injury and said he had to go to the hospital to drain the fluid from his ear.

“I thought we would get the elephant out of the room and talk about this stupid and ridiculous bandage on the head,” said Joe.
“ So basically what happened was me and Al were doing disco dad and his skate kicked me in the ear, which gave me a cabbage ear – flower
“Then he became infected, which means that last night I had to rush to the hospital and have surgery, cut it and empty out all the gooey things.”

Joe was given permission to skate in the final by a doctor earlier today, where he will face Libby Clegg and Mark Hanretty, Perri Kiely and Vanessa Bauer.
An insider told The Sun, “Joe was allowed by a doctor to perform on Sunday.

Despite the injury, everything seemed to be going well when Stacey shared a sweet video with Joe and her nine-month-old son Rex in the morning.
Stacey joked that their little one ‘can’t understand what’s going on with dad today’ as they looked at him and laughed while looking at Joe with a confused expression on his face.
