— — Kim Kardashian West revealed details about her October theft on last night’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
We saw not only how much fun the reality star was having in the City of Lights during Paris Fashion Week before the incident, but also how much it affected her family, including her husband, Kanye West .
Kardashian West, 36, had nearly $10 million worth of jewelry stolen from the No Address Hotel, where she was staying, on October 3.
On last night’s episode, Kardashian West said: “Paris meant a lot to me. It’s where I have so many memories.”
Here’s how each family member detailed the heartbreaking incident, which happened around 3 a.m.:
Kim Kardashian West
Kardashian West remembers hearing footsteps and, thinking it was her sisters, she shouted, “Hello! Hello! Hello!” but no one answered. That’s when she knew something was wrong.
“My heart started to get really tense,” she said. “I knew something was wrong.”
Mother-of-two Kardashian West then said she “slipped” out of bed to call her stylist Simone Harouche because she didn’t know how to call the police in the country.
With her hotel room door ajar, Kardashian said: “I saw two guys holding another guy… The concierge [was] handcuffed. He ended up being the interpreter,” because the thieves didn’t speak English and she didn’t speak French.
The janitor later told him that the thieves asked him, “Where is the rapper’s wife?”
“They threw me on the bed and I was like, ‘This is it,'” Kardashian West continued, adding that they asked for her ring. She told them it was on a table.
“Are they going to kill us?…Tell them I have babies,” she told the janitor.
Kardashian West recalled that one of the thieves “put duct tape on my face… [and] grab my legs. He pulled me towards him [and I thought], ‘OK, that’s when they’re going to rape me. I prepared myself completely mentally, and he didn’t. He taped my legs together with duct tape.”
She said they then threw her in the bathtub.
Kanye West
The episode also showed how Kanye West, Kardashian West’s husband of nearly three years, discovered she had been robbed. He was then performing on stage in New York.
Midway through the show, as his 2008 hit “Heartless” began to play, a member of his entourage walked to the edge of the stage to tell him. West looked visibly shaken.
He then told the crowd, “I’m sorry…there was a family emergency. I have to stop the show.”
Later in the episode, the Wests were back in New York, discussing the flight with West’s manager, Izzy Zivkovic. West told his wife, “If something had really happened to you, I wouldn’t have stopped until they [were] dead.”
Both parents of North, 3, and Saint, 1, then came up with a game plan for how they would act in front of their children.
Kardashian West said: “I just, I don’t want to cry in front of the kids… or, like, let them think something’s wrong.”
West agreed, saying, “OK, yeah, so we won’t talk about it in front of the kids.”
Kris Jenner
In an interview during the episode, Jenner, 61, recalled receiving the phone call informing her of the theft.
“Being woken up in the middle of the night was probably one of the worst nights of my life,” she said, adding that she was “frantically upset and in shock.”
“The thought of losing Kim is emotionally scary and hard to get over. That’s it. I can’t talk about it anymore,” Jenner, a mother of six, added.
Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian shared a room with Kardashian West in Paris.
“At 3 a.m., I was at a nightclub,” Kourtney Kardashian said. “I have a text from Simone [asking], ‘Who is with Kim? I just heard him say: ‘Take what you want!'”
Kourtney Kardashian, the clan’s eldest sister, added: “Kim called me later from Simone’s phone, screaming at the top of her lungs.”
Both sisters say later in the episode that it was strange because they had just discussed what they would do if they were robbed.
Kardashian told her sister she would tell them, “Take what you want.” And that’s exactly what happened.
Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner, 21, was the only sister to work in Paris. She has participated in several fashion shows during Paris Fashion Week.
However, she took the time to party with Kourtney Kardashian the evening of the flight.
“I was at a club with Kourtney,” she remembers. “[Celebrity hair stylist] Jen Atkin ran towards me [to tell me]. I literally immediately started crying. I remember pushing people aside and running [out of the nightclub]”.
Kendall Jenner said she and Kourtney Kardashian returned to the hotel and had to persuade Paris police to let them in.
“Kim was in the corner sobbing and crying,” she said.
“You could see it in her eyes. When I went to hug her, she was uncomfortable with the idea of me hugging her,” recalls Kendall Jenner.
