CHP officers arrested a woman on Friday who they believe caused a violent multi-car crash in Windsor Hills that killed 6 people, including a baby and a pregnant woman.
Nicole L. Linton, identified by multiple law enforcement sources as a nurse from Texas, will be booked after she was released from a hospital where she is being treated for injuries she sustained in the wreckage.
Customers at a Windsor Hills service station watched in horror as a violent crash left six people dead. Lauren Coronado reports for NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on August 4, 2022.
The arrest was also confirmed by members of Linton’s family.
Texas public records show a person with the same name as a registered nurse with a valid license.
Kaiser Permanente released the following statement regarding the crash:
“Everyone at Kaiser Permanente is deeply saddened by Thursday’s horrific accident. It is impossible to imagine the pain felt by those involved. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy. “We are unable to comment on what has been reported as a criminal investigation. Any further questions on this matter should be referred to law enforcement authorities.”
The high-speed crash happened around 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Slauson and La Brea avenues and was captured by a security camera at a nearby gas station.
On Friday morning, the CHP said 6 people died in the accident and at least 8 others were injured.
