Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has joked that he skipped to the end of Arsenal’s ‘All Or Nothing’ documentary to see Spurs beat their rivals to fourth place.
Conte’s side travel to the Emirates on Saturday for the season opener of the North London derby – live on talkSPORT.
Tottenham can overtake the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table – but last time they met fourth place was the target.
Arsenal were in the driver’s seat for Champions League qualification in the 2021/22 campaign, before a late slump which began at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the penultimate week.
Mikel Arteta’s side would then slide to victory at Newcastle, allowing Spurs to clinch fourth place with two points.
The dramatic finale was captured in Arsenal’s ‘All Or Nothing’ documentary, which Conte was asked about on Thursday.
He said: “To be honest, I haven’t finished watching it, but for sure in the future I will finish this documentary.
“I did the same with Tottenham, Manchester City and Juventus because I’m really curious to understand how to handle the situation for the coach.
“I think it was really, really interesting, but I started the Arsenal documentary, but I didn’t finish it, but in the future for sure I will finish. I think it’s It’s positive because this documentary goes behind the scenes. Sometimes I think it’s positive to take us out of our world.
A reporter suggested Conte would enjoy the ending, which amused the Tottenham boss and prompted an amusing response.
“I watched that episode, yeah,” Conte said with a laugh.
During the Amazon Series, Arteta went on a furious rant alongside him at St James’ Park and admitted they hoped Norwich beat Spurs on the final day.
“It doesn’t matter what I say. It doesn’t matter what you say. Now it’s too late,” Arteta said.
“They were 10,000 times better than us today, in all. We didn’t win the right to play, we didn’t win a f****** duel, we didn’t win a second ball, we were horrible with the f****** ball and we had no organization, we had nothing.
“So now shut your mouth and eat it. We could have conceded eight goals. If you see the odds, you will cry. You will cry at the way we competed. Not the way we competed, we didn’t compete in the game at all.
“It’s f****** embarrassing to come here like we did. Embarrassing. What happened today is f****** unacceptable and if you accept something like that , you live in a different world.
“Don’t worry, I’ll face the people. Today it’s hard to defend you guys. Hard. I’ll take all the s***, again.
“Don’t worry… But get ready to start training to beat Everton because we have our fans there. You never know what happens in football they (Tottenham) might lose at Norwich, you don’t know.
