Daniel Dubois vs. Filip Hrgovic: Date, UK start time, undercard and how to follow as Brit eyes IBF mandatory challenger status

Daniel Dubois will face Filip Hrgovic this summer in a bid to become the mandatory challenger for the IBF world title.

Hrgovic is currently in prime position for a shot at the heavyweight crown with his record of 17 wins in 17 fights and 14 by knockout.

However, his performances since his victory over Zhilei Zhang in 2022 have declined and Dubois will be keen to take his chances as he comes off a knockout victory over Jarrell Miller.

This huge fight will be part of a stacked undercard for Artur Beterbiev vs. Dimitry Bivol, with Deontay Wilder, Zhang and Nick Ball all in action.

Dubois vs Hrgovic: What was said?

Hrgovic revealed he would retire if he lost to Dubois.

He said, “Of course [I would retire if I lose]. How can I live with this? I think I’m the best.

“I worked hard for 18 years in this sport like a crazy maniac. So if I lose to Dubois, fuck that asshole guy – obviously I’m not as good as I think I am. Then I would retire. »

If he wins, the Croatian is next eyeing a huge fight against Anthony Joshua.

“It should be me against Dubois for the vacant IBF belt,” Hrgovic said. “Then the winner should fight Joshua, but you never know in boxing.

“Joshua is the dream fight and I hope to beat Dubois and then fight him at Wembley in September.

“It will be perfect.”
