Royston Barney-Smith improved to 4-0 (2 KOs) with a first-round win on Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 18-year-old prospect made quick work of his opponent Cruz Perez on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s trilogy fight with Derek Chisora.
Barney-Smith has big ambitions in boxing.
The teenager, born on January 4, 2004, is intent on becoming Britain’s youngest ever world champion.
To do this, he would have to beat Prince Naseem Hamed’s record.
Naz was just 21 years and 230 days old when he defeated Steve Robinson to win the WBO featherweight crown in 1995.
To beat that, Barney-Smith must become world champion by August 22, 2025.
It’s early days for the super featherweight prospect, but he has a promising start.

When given the opportunity to box on the Fury vs. Chisora card on Saturday night, Barney-Smith took it with both hands.
The southpaw landed a big left hand that knocked his opponent down early on.
Perez dropped to his knees and took the count, then stood up ready to fight.
However, after looking him in the eye, the referee ended the fight.
“In the first 12 months, we’re going to stabilize and learn our craft,” Barney-Smith said on turning professional.
“My dream is to be the youngest world champion.”
Time will tell if this materializes.
