Apple has just released macOS 14.5, watchOS 10.5, tvOS 17.5 and visionOS 1.2 beta 4 for developers. Developers can now download and install the latest updates on their compatible devices for free. The latest beta versions will bring a handful of new tweaks and features to all Apple devices.

Apple releases beta updates for Apple Watch, Mac, Vision Pro and more

Registered developers can download watchOS 10.5 beta 4 to their compatible Apple Watch models via the dedicated Apple Watch app. Just go to Settings > Software Update > Beta Updates and download the latest available beta version. Make sure your Apple Watch has at least 50% battery life and is plugged into a power source. Additionally, your Apple Watch must be within range of your iPhone and connected to a secure internet connection to install the update.

Besides watchOS 10.5, Apple also released macOS 14.5 beta 4 for developers. Developers can download the latest beta through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. However, your Apple ID must be linked to your developer account if you want to receive the update over the air.

Apple TV users can install the latest tvOS 17.5 update on compatible Apple TV models through the Settings app. All you need to do is participate in the beta to receive the over-the-air update. However, as with other updates, your Apple ID must be associated with your developer account to receive the update over the air.

Finally, Apple released the fourth beta version of visionOS 1.2 to developers for testing. If you own the Vision Pro, the latest beta can be installed on your headset via the Settings app. Just enable the developer beta option in settings and you are good to go. A developer account is required to receive the update over the air.

At this point, it’s unclear what exactly the latest beta brings. However, we can assume that the update will host many bug fixes and performance improvements to improve the overall user experience of the devices. Potentially, the latest beta will also bring additional changes for EU users. Apart from this, Apple has also released beta 4 of iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 for compatible iPhone and iPad devices. We will let you know when the updates are officially released to the general public.
