He recalled how, in the early months of their romance, after meeting on the 2017 reality show The Jump, he and Vogue would go out partying together, admitting that “we had this very social and quite watery relationship.
Alcohol has even kept the couple, now parents of three, together, as he admits he was perhaps the most addicted to alcohol when they met on the show. ‘I think anyone who’s been on The Jump will tell you it was something,” he explained.
“Even though I got sober when I reached the final 10 days before the final, I just won! »
“When I won, I lost my mind and lost everything. Now I was starting to feel like I was in a real disaster. And that was a little unusual for me.
Spencer explained, however, that even though Vogue was “drinking excessively every few days and drinking to get drunk,” he would continue “and that was every day.”
Then Vogue became pregnant with their eldest son Theodore. ‘MThe fact that she was not drinking increased her alcohol consumption.
“There was a general level of disappointment with her about me. Which seemed shit to me, it actually did, because I always wanted the people close to me to be proud of me,” he added.
After The Jump, Spencer struggled to find work, while his wife’s career was flourishing. “I was starting to feel like a real loser. She would do these big things and travel while she was pregnant and get these TV jobs and present these documentaries. And I’ll be home.
