Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will become a free agent at the end of the season when his current contract with Liverpool expires, according to fabrice romano.
The well-known and respected journalist reported on Twitter that there are no talks between Liverpool and Oxlade-Chamberlain at the moment.
Romano has claimed the England midfielder will leave the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners next summer when his current contract expires.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been on Liverpool’s books since the summer of 2017 when they signed him from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Reds paid £35m for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was then 24, according to Sky Sports.
Now 29, Oxlade-Chamberlain struggled with injuries during his time at Liverpool and hasn’t really made a massive impact in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Yes, the Englishman won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League with Liverpool, but the Reds would have won those trophies even without him.
It will be interesting to see which club Oxlade-Chamberlain goes to next season when he leaves Liverpool at the end of the season.
