Noah Beck was one of Soccer Aid’s standout players this year as the American led the show in the middle of the park, and he is expected to be involved in the Sidemen game on Saturday.
The 21-year-old is now a famous TikTok star, but things could have been very different.
Facing Mark Noble in midfield, the American led the way from start to finish and was even hailed by David Beckham.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player said Beck was “impressive” as he scored his penalty in regulation time and in the shootout.
Beck’s performance went well social media and has sparked talk of a return to the sport he quit not too long ago, but so far no club has moved.
Beck has played for several teams, including Region IV, Real Salt Lake Academy, and Portland Pilots.
However, he ditched all of that to focus on social media in 2020, and the move worked brilliantly for him, to be fair.
Since switching to social media, Beck has garnered a massive 33.9 million followers on TikTok, plus 9 million on Instagram and an additional 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube.
But after such an impressive demonstration in Soccer Aid, could he get a pro contract?
Well, given that Crawley Town are set to scout the game at The Valley, Beck could become their latest signing if he performs well.
But given that he’s now earned over £3million from his new life on social media, he might be better off sticking to his new found fame rather than risk it all and go back to the soccer.
But it will still be fun to see him take to the field with KSI and the rest of the Sidemen.
Beck has always idolized Cristiano Ronaldo, and he played the Portuguese legend with two Soccer Aid penalties.
And he also revealed that he is actually a Red Devils fan.
He said: “I started supporting Man United at a young age and stayed with them through the bad years and the good years.
“They have been my team since Ronaldo joined them from Sporting Lisbon.
“When he went there I became a big fan, and when he left I was like ‘am I going with him or the team?’
“So I stayed with them (Manchester United). I became a bit of a Real Madrid fan, but Man U was my team.
“Ronaldo is my all-time idol. I love him. David Beckham too.
“The things they do on and off the pitch are just amazing. They are good pros and that’s how I try to inspire myself.
During Soccer Aid, Beck introduced himself to a lot of people who had probably never heard of him, and he’ll have the chance to wow some real scouts on Saturday.
If he plays like he did in Soccer Aid, don’t rule out Crawley taking a punt on Beck.
It certainly looks like he has the talent to give his football career another shot, so now we’re waiting to see what happens.
