Microsoft released standard version 92 of Microsoft Edge for Windows and MacOS on Friday evening. The new version allows users to reload a website in IE mode on Edge instead of trusting the IE11 app. Also, MHTML file types can be opened automatically in IE mode on Microsoft Edge instead of IE11 app. This most often happens when you try to view Outlook emails in the browser. This change only occurs when IE11 is the default handler for this type of file. Users can upgrade their browsing from HTTP to HTTPS on domains that support this secure protocol. The update also includes the latest security updates for the Chromium program. It covered 24 vulnerabilities in older versions of Microsoft Edge. The update for version 92.0.902.55 is based on Google Chrome 92 for desktop, now three items ›help and feedback via the update function via the Info on Microsoft Edge menu and can be downloaded directly from the official website.
