For forty years, London Fashion Week (LFW) has dared where others have not dared, always looking to the future.
This anniversary edition of LFW will welcome 67 designers across 46 runways and 36 events, with collections from many more up-and-coming designers expected to make an appearance off-grid.
Star attractions include Preen, Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha, Harris Reed, 16Arlington and Emilia Wickstead.
Burberry should close the official program on Monday, with the collection of Daniel Lee.
Editor-in-chief of Vogue Lady Anna Wintour will undoubtedly be selective in the front row, casting an insightful eye on the latest trends behind these iconic sunglasses.
Although smaller than its counterparts in Milan, Paris and New York – which are regularly home to international fashion giants – London continues to be known for its unique style.
“It’s much more innovative” Betty Jackson, designer at the first LFW, told the BBC. “I really think we have the best ideas. And we’re not afraid.”
