Kanye West lost friends, business and billions of dollars for his hate, and now he can add to his woes the loss of an honorary college degree…because the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has him removed.
According to a letter from the school, obtained by TMZ, big bosses decided to rescind Ye’s degree, saying, “His anti-Black, anti-Semitic and inflammatory statements, especially those directed against the Black and Jewish communities, are disgusting and condemnable”.
The letterwritten by the president Elissa Tennycontinues: “As a community, we know that there are differing opinions about what our school’s response should be, even though we all agree that their behavior is indefensible.”
The disgraced rapper was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2015 for his accomplishments and contributions to art and culture, but Tenny notes that “his actions are inconsistent with SAIC’s mission and values.”
As we reported, Kanye was on “Infowars” last week claiming his love for hitler and the nazis.
Students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago reportedly opened an online position to withdraw the honorary title, accumulating more than 4,000 signatures.
