As the world recognizes International Women’s Day (IWD) – a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – employees of Samsung Electronics America joined the celebration with video testimonies reflecting the theme of this year’s IWD and held office meetings to promote the collective call to action to create a more egalitarian world.
“Each for equality means that we are all responsible for our thoughts and actions, every day, every day,” said Reena Joseph, manager of customer experience management and strategy for Samsung Electronics America, explaining what this year’s IWD theme means to her.
Throughout the year, Women in Samsung Electronics (WISE), the company employee-led initiative to empower and inspire women, promotes company-wide events open to all employees to help maintain and foster a diverse and inclusive environment while supporting networking and charity activities as well as mentoring opportunities for employees.
