Arsenal are one of several European clubs chasing the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Shaktar Donetsk youngster has done well this campaign and has been excellent in the Champions League group stages.
His fine form has caught the attention of Arsenal and several European clubs, including Juventus and Real Madrid.
His current employers know they have a top player and are ready to make as much money as possible from his sale.
Ahead of the next transfer window, when clubs could start looking to add him to their squad, they have set their asking price for his signature.
A report on The Athletic claims to want to earn €100m from his departure.
Shakhtar director of football Dario Srna said: “If someone wants to buy Mudryk, he has to pay huge amount of money. Otherwise, the club president (Rinat Akhmetov) won’t sell him.
“It’s the market that decides the price, not me. Anthony, [Jack] Grealish are players over €100m and for me, Mudryk has no less quality than them.
“These are the last two transfers of the past year, in more or less the same positions. [Jadon] Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho. We just want respect.
Just the opinion of Arsenal
Mudryk is one of the hottest youngsters around and we have to be ready to break our transfer record to add him to our squad.
If we’re not ready to pay big for his signature, we better turn our attention to other offensive targets now.
