Billie Eilish has never been afraid of controversial topics, and in her new rolling stone On the cover, the artist spoke very freely about another apparently taboo subject. While describing her positive relationship with sex, Eilish called self-pleasure a “huge” part of her life.
“TMI, but self-enjoyment is a huge, huge part of my life and a huge, huge help to me,” she told the outlet before adding that everyone should have the same mindset about masturbation. “People should care, man. I can’t stress this enough, as someone with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my whole life.
The star then shared details of her sexy sessions, saying she loved using a mirror during the act. “Partly because it’s hot, but it also gives me such a raw, deep connection with myself and my body, and I have a love for my body that I’ve never really had,” a- she continued. “I have to say that looking in the mirror and thinking, ‘I look really good right now’ is very helpful. You can fabricate the situation you’re in to make sure you look good. You can make the light very dim, you can be in a specific outfit or in a specific position that’s more flattering. I learned that looking at myself and watching myself feel pleasure was extremely helpful in loving and accepting myself, and feeling empowered and comfortable.
“I should have a doctorate. in masturbation,” she joked.
Eilish has a positive outlook on sex in general, calling it her “favorite topic of conversation.” As a woman, she said she found it empowering to talk about it openly.
“My experience as a woman is that it’s seen in such a strange way. People are so uncomfortable talking about it, and strangely when women are very comfortable in their sexuality and communicative,” she explained. “I think it’s such a frowned upon thing to talk about, and I think that should change.”
“Did you ask me what I do to unwind? That shit can really, really save you sometimes, just say it,” she said. “I couldn’t recommend it more, to be honest.”
