The Big 12 Conference will host a junior reporter program at Basketball Tip Off 2022 presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky on October 18-19 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The program provides sports marketing students at Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in preparing for, conducting, and conducting interviews with student-athletes and coaches. men and women of the Big 12. They will also receive a behind-the-scenes look at the elements involved in staging this season preview event.
“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with St. Joseph Central High School to provide this educational opportunity for its students and to extend this outstanding program to our Basketball Tip-Off,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett. Yorkmark. “We’ve run a similar program for the past two years at Big 12 Football Media Days with rave reviews from coaches, student-athletes and junior journalists.”
Central High School’s Sports Marketing program provides students with hands-on work through hands-on applications, including producing live broadcasts for Central sports events, creative content, including graphic design, and video production. Students are also responsible for acquiring and maintaining sponsorships for school athletic programs.
Content created by the Junior Reporters will be shared on official Big 12 Conference media platforms throughout the 2022-23 basketball season.
