Apple has big plans for its calculator app.
While the calculator probably isn’t the first thing most people think of when considering which apps need a big update, Apple has reportedly overhauled the app in macOS to make it more useful.
According to AppleInsider, Apple plans to announce an update at June’s WWDC that will give the app round number buttons rather than boxes in the current design, as well as the ability to resize the app window , which will have an impact on the size of these buttons.
A new history feature will show you previous calculations you’ve made in the app, and the updated app will also come with Notes integration so you can save your calculations for later.
A very useful new feature coming to the app is a conversion feature for other currencies. Apple’s calculator already offers this option, but you have to access it via a drop-down menu, which is a bit cumbersome. The conversion tool will now be integrated into the app interface, making it easier to find and use.
