Popular YouTube star Abhradeep “Angry Rantman” Saha has died at the age of 27 following complications from a “major” surgery.
The YouTuber, who lived in India, died on April 17 following an unspecified “major surgery” in March, according to a series of messages from his family posted on his YouTube Community page.
Abhradeep’s death was confirmed by his family in a statement posted on his social media accounts.
“With deep sorrow and sadness, we hereby declare the sad and untimely demise of Abhradeep Saha AKA #AngryRantman today at 10:18 AM IST,” the statement said.

“He touched the lives of millions through his honesty, humor and unwavering spirit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The statement continued: “As we mourn his loss, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and cherish the precious memories we shared together. Inspire change, one rant at a time.
The family had updated fans on his condition as he recovered from the surgery.
“The operation went well, just after the post-operative complications, let’s all pray for his recovery, God bless!!!” Abhradeep’s family wrote at the time.
In early April, they updated fans on the influencer’s condition, revealing that he was in the intensive care unit.
“Let’s hope for the best,” they wrote on their YouTube community page.
On April 14, they informed fans saying he was in a “really critical situation.”
“He is in a really critical situation with the support system to save lives, pray for a faster recovery,” the message read.
The family had been updating fans about his condition as he recovered from surgery on their YouTube community page.
Unfortunately, the 27-year-old’s condition did not improve, and his loved ones shared that he was placed on life support and was in critical condition.
Many sports teams have shared their condolences for the popular video maker, including Indian football clubs Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC.
Abhradeep, who had 128,000 followers on Instagram and 487,000 on YouTube, rose to fame through his sports analysis videos, especially football and cricket.
Abhradeep, who was also famous for his love of Chelsea Football Club, rose to fame in 2017 after his analysis of the India vs Australia cricket match went viral.
Many sports teams have shared their condolences for the famous video creator.
“Today we mourn the loss of one of the most enthusiastic and passionate voices in Indian football,” Kerala Blasters FC wrote on
“His memorable diatribes and love for the beautiful game will be greatly missed.”
“The BFC family is saddened to learn of the passing away of #IndianFootball stalwart Abhradeep Saha,” Bengaluru FC shared in an online post.
“A West Block Blue through and through, Abhradeep’s love for the game knew no bounds and the passion in his rants will be missed. Rest in peace.’
Abhradeep’s family updated his fans about his condition through their social media.
Tom Overend, who runs the website ‘TheChelsSocial’, posted a heartfelt message for the long-time Chelsea fan on social media.
‘RIP Abhradeep Saha, aka Angry Rantman. His rants were iconic to all of us, but I think fewer people know how kind and generous he was beyond his content,” the post read.
“A true Chelsea fan and a truly phenomenal and brilliant human being.”
Abhradeep was absent from his social media accounts for around a month, with many fans sharing their concerns and wishes on old videos and posts.
Thousands of people have paid tribute to the YouTube star, with some asking his family to keep his page open.
“Please don’t delete this channel, we want to see his videos and remember him for the joy he brought us every time with his humor,” one fan wrote.
