Haley Johnson’s debut at the Titan Games proved that she knew how to get through and stay focused. The 25-year-old U.S. Army nurse ended the competition in two challenges. She then ran Olympic snowboard medalist Hannah Teter on Mount Olympus and won the match and the title for herself.
Watch all of Haley’s games below!
First was Chain Linked. It really gave us a taste of Haley’s abilities. She had a solid lead, which she lost when she hesitated to climb into the final panels. As we said, it can pass. Haley found the courage, took the leap, caught up and managed his first victory.
His second game was the grueling Kick Out. But Haley was in his element. Dwayne Johnson wondered if this was the fastest version of the challenge he had ever seen. Haley stepped on all of her pistons and sent Cynthia Gauthier home.
On their way to Mount Olympus, Haley faced the very fast Titan elite, Hannah Teter. Haley ran her own race, settling in at a steady pace where she focused on one obstacle at a time. The result was that she didn’t even have to worry about the elite athlete. Haley took the lead early and won the Titan title for herself.
Haley will be watching as the competition progresses. She will have to defend her title against two other challengers if she wants to keep it in the final of the Eastern region.
The Titan Games air on Monday at 8 p.m. EST / NST on NBC.
