Participants in this program will have access to three free MMA-based fitness classes per week at Fight Capital Gym that will teach varying levels of disciplines that form the foundation of mixed martial arts including boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, judo and Jiu Jitsu.
“Growing up here in Vegas, we didn’t have much to look forward to, but having a program like this is awesome,” said Rountree Jr. “A gym like this changed my life, and if we Hadn’t provided me an opportunity and welcomed me into a gym when I was a teenager, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
This program aims to help youth develop skills focused on self-discipline and self-defense, while providing access to Fight Capital Gym coaches and instructors, as well as after-school tutoring, in a safe environment and favorable.
UFC also hosted several Make-A-Wish children and their families as part of the event, providing unique experiences for children suffering from serious illnesses.
Since 2017, the UFC has held more than 30 separate 50/50 draws across North America that have grossed more than $1.8 millionthe net profits of which will be donated to local charities in communities that have hosted UFC events in the United States and Canada.
The next UFC 50/50 draw will take place from Wednesday June 26 – Saturday June 29within the framework of UFC 303: MCGREGOR vs. CHANDLER.
