The bet of the day
Augsburg winner and BTTS @ 9/2
Just three points separate sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and seventh-placed Augsburg, and the visitors could put themselves in the driver’s seat of Europe if they win.
Jess Thorup’s side have lost just one of their last seven Bundesliga games, winning five, and have also taken all three points from two of their last three away games – although those have come against teams threatened with relegation, Darmstadt (6-0) and Wolfsburg (3-1).
Frankfurt, meanwhile, are winless in four league matches and have also won just one of their last four games at Deutsche Bank Park – a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim in early March.
The Fuggerstadter last lost in Frankfurt in 2021 and secured a 2-1 victory in the reverse match at the Augsburg Arena.
As the hosts struggle for form, a similar scoreline could be in store on Friday.
Special of the day
Oxford will win, BTTS – No and Mark Harris will score anytime @ 11/2
Following the departure of manager Steve Evans to join Rotherham earlier this week, Stevenage could be on course to end the season with little more than a whimper and they could extend their away winless run to eight games when ‘they will go to Oxford.
Boro are relying on a monumental goal difference to finish in the top six, but their play-off hopes are in danger of being extinguished on Friday, with the hosts in good form at the Kassam Stadium – winning three of their last four here.
The U’s have also won four of their last six league games and each of those wins has come with a clean sheet, so we can expect another strong defensive performance from Des Buckingham.
The hosts boast the fourth most potent attack in the division and forward Mark Harris is expected to start on Friday night. With 14 goals already this campaign, he looks a worthy addition to that 11/2 treble.
Long photo of the day
Cagliari winner against Juventus @ 17/4
Cagliari are just four points above the relegation zone but their recent form sees Claudio Ranieri’s men move away from the drop and they could stun Italian giants Juventus when they visit the Stadio Unipol Domus.
The hosts have lost just one of their last eight Serie A games and even held runaway leaders Inter Milan to a 2-2 draw last time out – becoming the sixth team to take points for the Nerazzurri all season.
Juve, meanwhile, have struggled away from Turin in recent weeks, failing to win any of their last five away games and failing to score in three of those matches.
These poor performances could open the door for Cagliari to claim their first victory against the Old Lady since 2020 and, with Gli Isolani avoiding defeat against Atalanta (2-1) and reigning Scudetto champions Naples (1-1 ) recently at home. In these encounters, the hosts look tempting at odds of 17/4 to win all three points.
