Stylish Paul McCartney the dumpster of the day… and 50 years later he still looks fabulous in a double-breasted suit
It was a fabulous style when he wore it in 1971 – and Sir Paul McCartney rolled back the years last week as, looking dapper in a double-breasted dark blue ensemble, he stepped out for lunch.
And just like he did in the 1970s, Macca sported a full beard – although he’s now 80, it wasn’t quite as lush and had a bit more of a vintage hue.
He was spotted at Claridge’s in Mayfair last week, where he was joined by his 53-year-old photographer daughter Mary.

With an estimated fortune of £865million, McCartney is by far the richest musician in the UK – and is known to be extremely careful with his finances. And he clearly enjoys having it with him, as he was seen holding a large wad of cash and slipping a note to one of the Claridge’s doormen as a tip.
Sir Paul paired his smart suit with a pair of £500 navy and black trainers from Los Angeles-based designer James Perse.
A viewer said: “He looks great for a man his age. But it’s good to see that he’s stopped coloring his hair in that alarming chestnut hue – it made him look a little ridiculous.
Well, he once sang Live And Let Dye…
