“Please don’t take life for a joke because life can be taken from you like that.”
Skai Jackson urged the Internet to stop making callous memes about the death after the death of Cameron Boyce. On Sunday July 7, it was announced that the Disney star had died in his sleep at the age of 20, due to a continuing health problem for which he was being treated, according to a statement from his family.

Tribute to Descendants the actress arrived and Skai was one of the first to express her grief. Skai and Cameron had worked closely on the Disney Channel series Jessie. The teen actress posted several photos on Instagram with Cameron on set after the news, alongside a heartfelt legend.
“Cam, you were one of a kind,” she wrote. “My heart will be forever broken. I’m so glad I could spend almost every day with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I could have hugged you harder when I saw you there a few months. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had. ”
After the post, Skai started a live emotional Instagram where she asked people to be nice to each other because they won’t always be around and stop making memes about people’s deaths.
“I know you think it’s a joke, but I don’t think it’s a joke when you guys comment on rest in peace to people who are not dead and think it’s a joke and create memes about it, “she explained. “You know, tomorrow is not promised so I ask you to please stop that and not only with me, with people in general.
“It’s not funny, it’s not a joke and death shouldn’t be considered a joke because it’s not. But I just wanted to say stay positive, I know it’s difficult for all of us right now but it will get better in the end … hope soon. ”
Skai also appeared to be referring to insensitive rumors that she was dead, which emerged earlier this year. In February, Skai called sick trolls who invented that she had been murdered.
She continued, “But I love you all so much, but please don’t do that. Commenting on rest in peace must stop. Please don’t take life as a joke, please don’t joke about it because life can be taken away from you like that, uh, as you can see. So, that’s about what I meant. “
