With the 2022-23 NBA season fast approaching, it’s time to rank where each player stands in the league.
The Philadelphia 76ers boast some of the league’s best talent, led by star duo Joel Embiid and James Harden, rising star Tyrese Maxey and versatile forward Tobias Harris. Therefore, they will have representatives on a large number of ranking lists.
ESPN compiled its NBARank list for the season and ranked Harris as the 56th-best player in the league after his strong finish to the 2021-22 season.
ESPN on Harris:
In the final two months of last season, Harris settled into a rhythm playing alongside midseason acquisition James Harden and played arguably the best basketball of his career. But in a team where he is now arguably the fourth goalscoring option, can he continue to manage that kind of role over the course of a full season? (Harris will also be spending more time at small forward due to the arrival of PJ Tucker.)
Harris averaged 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in the 2021-22 season and he shot 40% from deep after the All-Star break once Harden joined the team. His ability to adapt to new roles on the fly has been impressive, and he will have to adapt further in the 2022-23 season with the arrival of PJ Tucker.
