Samsung Pay is one of the three biggest tap-to-pay systems on mobile. However, he and LG Pay are the only ones running on non-NFC terminals. That gives it a distinct advantage, but Samsung doesn’t stop there. Whenever you use Samsung Pay, you earn points and you can use these points for various things. There are many here. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Pay Rewards.

How to earn Samsung Pay rewards
There are actually many ways to earn points for rewards. However, they are divided into five categories.
- Daily transactions – You earn one point for your first nine transactions, two points for 10-19 transactions and three points for 20-50 transactions. You can only earn points on up to 50 purchases per month and it resets each month. You can thus obtain approximately 100 points per month.
- Promotional offers – Samsung Pay offers promotional offers from different brands. You participate in these promotions and earn points. For example, as of this writing, you could link your Samsung Pay account to Lyft to earn 2,000 points. Promotions change periodically, but you still earn bonus points for purchasing gift cards through the Samsung Pay app.
- Buy things from Samsung – All purchases on Samsung.com earn points. This includes accessories, phones, televisions and everything the website sells. You can earn up to four points per dollar spent based on existing sales and promotions. It’s easily the best way to earn points, and the way Samsung subtly encourages people to keep buying Samsung products.
- Random actions – Samsung will occasionally give you points for doing little things. For example, a few years ago, they gave people 1,000 points to make the Samsung Internet browser their default browser. These are rare, but they are usually easy and allow you to earn points quickly.
- Points of purchase – You can literally buy Samsung Pay Rewards points for real money if you want. However, we do not recommend this method, unless you only need a few hundred points to get a much larger and more valuable price. You can buy points in the Samsung Pay app.
The system is obviously baited to encourage you to spend money on promotional offers and on the Samsung website. In fact, it is functionally impossible to get very good rewards if you only rely on daily transactions. So if you want the biggest and best prices, you will have to buy items from Samsung.com or mark as many promotional offers as possible.
Spend your points in the Samsung Pay app
There are actually several ways to spend your Samsung Pay Rewards points. The first is via the Samsung Pay app. Just open the app, go to Me at the bottom, then scroll down and press the Redeem points option.
The in-app awards are divided into two categories. The first is Chance to win. It is a series of revolving contests. You spend points to earn entries in increments of ten. He immediately spins a wheel to see if you win something. There is no limit to the number of times you can play. It is a good way to empty small amounts of points that expire soon.
The second category is Promo code. This section allows you to redeem points for real and real items. This list changes much less frequently and Samsung products are the vast majority of the time. Some examples include a new S-Pen for 6,000 points, a wireless charger for 16,000 points and a Galaxy Fit for 20,000 points.
Spend points in the Galaxy Store and Galaxy Themes
The other way, and frankly more fun, to spend points is to use the different digital stores of Samsung. Samsung is not strongly advertising this for any reason, but you can totally buy stuff with Samsung Pay Rewards points instead of real money. The two places where you can do this are the Galaxy Store (apps and games) and Galaxy themes (themes, icons, backgrounds, and AOD themes).
The process is fairly straightforward. Find a premium thing you want to buy. Press the price tag button and when the payment methods appear, select the Use discounts option. From there, select the Samsung Rewards possibility to spend points instead of money.
Purchasing apps, games, themes, etc. is by far the best way to spend small amounts of points. We particularly like to use them on themes.
A $ 2.49 article uses 498 points, or about two percentage points. This is consistent in the Samsung app store as well as in its theme store. There don’t seem to be any restrictions here and we were able to buy apps, games, themes, icon packs and everything in those stores.
We also downloaded Lords Mobile to see if Samsung Pay Rewards points are redeemable for in-app purchases. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for us, so don’t expect to use your points on this stuff.

Samsung Pay Rewards points are useful for people who use the service. Like most rewards programs, you only get the right things if you really sign up with the platform, but you can get great things if you just use Samsung Pay often enough. We recommend that you use your points for things like themes and apps to improve your experience in the same way that people use Google Opinion Rewards to get free apps from the Google Play Store.
