Romelu Lukaku appears to be in fine form ahead of his second Inter Milan debut.
The Belgian striker returned to San Siro earlier this summer after an unfortunate second stint at Chelsea last season.
Having scored 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter in his first spell at the club, Lukaku has established himself as a genuine fan favorite for Antonio Conte’s title-winning side in the 2020/2021 season.
As a result, the Blues broke the bank to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge in a £97.5million deal.
Unfortunately for the west London supporters, his return season at the club ended with just 15 goals in 44 appearances.
With a real point to prove on his return to Italy, Lukaku has clearly worked hard to prepare for the big kick-off.
Inter start their season against Sassuolo on August 13 with the 29-year-old showing off his hugely impressive physical stature in an open training session.
Lukaku’s physique has been a big talking point during his career, with the striker admitting he may have been too muscular during his time at Manchester United.
However, based on these training pictures, it looks like the striker is in great shape to enjoy a very good season this term, especially after expressing regret over his decision to leave the club.
He explained at the club’s kit launch: “I left. It was a mistake.
“Now I’m happy to wear this jersey, the team knows what to do, it will be a great challenge this season and we have to continue like this.
“I realized last season when I was in England, how important Inter are in the world.
“The profile of the club is improving internationally, the social media approach is also very important and you can see how we act in the dressing room, in training, our hugs and our jokes.
“Milan is a wonderful city and that’s why I kept the old apartment when I went to London, because my mother used to come here all the time and I wanted to come back too.”
