Federer compared his rivalry with Nadal to that of McEnroe and Borg, who won two each in four Grand Slam finals but had very different personalities. Borg, a Swede, remained a cool and collected player. On the other hand, McEnroe was a brash and boisterous player both on and off the court. Nevertheless, they had a good friendship off the pitch.
Their rivalry is reminiscent of McEnroe and Borg. Eight-time Wimbledon champion Federer likes to hear about it.
