Rihanna launched her new FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty Earth Tone collaboration on Wednesday at the Tobacco Dock in London, England.
The platform shoe features luxurious nubuck materials and gold accents in three distinct colorways: Total Taupe, Fog Green, and Warm White.
The original Creeper launched in September 2015 as a platform version of PUMA’s Suede sneaker and was named Shoe of the Year by Footwear News in 2016. The Creeper Phatty, Rihanna’s iteration of the shoe, is more large, with an oversized, stacked design. rubber sole.
The exclusive taupe colorway is now available for sale, while the fog green and warm white launch on April 25.
Speaking to reporters at the launch event, Rihanna spoke about the collaboration, music and fashion.
She plans to build on her new PUMA x FENTY Creeper Phatty shoe collaboration by eventually creating her own children’s clothing line. She said: “My inspiration for the design was: I had the opportunity to start this with Puma, designing children’s shoes through the Avantis and now we’re doing the Creepers.
“It’s really fun, it’s cute to see my kids wearing stuff that… I made and designed. It’s really unbelievable.
She even explained why she initially struggled to dress her young sons.
The 36-year-old singer explained that it wasn’t until she found “the biggest hack” – imitating outfits worn by her partner – that the process became clearer. She explained: “When I dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky.
“Because I always imagine dressing a girl, right? We all do what women do, like, “Oh, I’ll dress him in these cute little things,” but then you have sons and you’re like, “What do I do?” and I was like, ‘You know what, I have the biggest hack: their dad.’
