RAM 1500 LIMITED – conversion into a personalized workhorse – made by JB Car Design

Since 1998, the noble tuner JB Car Design in Alsdorf near Aachen is well known far beyond the city limits of Aachen to convert incomparable unique pieces of Porsche, Ferrari & Lamborghini in “custom sports car”.
In addition, the classic vehicle sector is served at their location. In six months, the well-prepared team – under the leadership of founder and owner Jürgen BECKERS – is currently reconstructing a small series of 28 unique Dodge RAM 1500s in a limited edition without compromise, according to customer requirements, that is say incomparable.
All pick-ups are covered with the new and distinctive “Stone-Crunch” varnish – available in all RAL colors – optional also painted in two colors. (Painting for all brands from 4,700 EUR).
The JB-LIMITED-RAM conversion includes massive front and rear bumpers – suitable for the ride height of 3 inches – with towing eyes, fog lights and working lights (5.950, – EUR) .ah
The front bumper has an electric cable winch – controllable by remote control – equipped with a pulling force of six tonnes., And a trailer coupling of 3.5 t has been fitted at the rear. In order to balance the loading and support capacity, a remote-controlled air suspension is installed on the rear axle (1.870, – EUR). Electric and LED-lit side panels are installed at the entrance (2.950, – EUR).
In addition to a modified grille, a special hood with ventilation shaft for the open sport air filter system (EUR 595, -) and an engine underrun protection for off-road driving are on board.
The giant rolls on 10J x 22 inch wheels and is fitted with 33 x 12.5 x 22 inch tires for off-roading, or optionally with 305/45 R22 M + S for the road. Matching struts and flared flanges are integrated into the image (5.700, – EUR).
Above the loading area / loading platform (5.7 or 6.4 feet, with and without RAM boxes), a custom steel cage of 50 x 2 mm (also suitable for the Ford F150, for example ) is available (2.950, – EUR).
A curved LED work lamp is installed on the roof rail which corresponds to the cage (1.750, – EUR).
Since the Hemi V8 engine is good enough for half a million kilometers, the anything but ideal protection against rust from RAM is high in Alsdorf, at a huge cost, at the best level possible.
With each conversion, the complete cabin and the loading space are separated from the frame and everything is treated individually by hand with a cavity seal and a rust protection structure before reassembly.
In order to do justice to today’s tense environmental situation, each of the 28 unique RAMs is equipped with a LPG Prins gas system with low pollutant content and reduced CO2 with approx. 85% nitrogen oxide, approx. 50% hydrocarbons and approx. 95% soot reduction.
Such a “workaholic” consumes approx. 15 l / 100 km. The LPG gas system is only around 50 cents / liter (in Belgium / Luxembourg only around 30 cents / liter).
The additional 122-liter LPG underfloor tank is safely installed and optimized by gravity under the loading area. With a second tank on the loading area, a tank volume of up to 352 liters is reached for a range of more than 2000 km, or one filling the tank – depending on the price of gas – costs only between 100, – and 150.- EUR. And that’s not all! Thanks to the authorization to remove up to 3.5 tonnes, the annual tax is 198, – EUR and RAM can be driven with an ordinary class 3 driver’s license. Insurance with SF10 – about 450, – EUR per year.
For a comfortable pick-up, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8, over 400 hp and a trailer load of 3.5 t, the maintenance costs are unbeatable.
The value of the vehicle described here is approximately 120,000 EUR.
