Actor Johnny Depp isn’t done acting and there are undoubtedly big projects on the horizon for the 60-year-old artist.

Now sitting in the director’s chair, there are many rumors that Johnny Depp may end his acting career. In a report from TMZ, the beloved actor underwent a complete “transformation” and “adopted a healthy diet,” as well as a haircut. Although he made many of these lifestyle changes, the most important note in the report concerns his acting career.
“Sources close to Johnny tell TMZ…the Oscar nominee isn’t done acting in front of the camera, but his current passion is directing the ‘Modi’ biopic, as he’s very excited to be back in the director’s chair.”
Although Johnny Depp is not currently acting, this is great news for fans who are still hoping that he one day returns to Hollywood and plays a role in another hit film. Of course, the most notable franchise that fans want him to reappear in is Pirates of the Caribbean as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Although Disney has stated that it is “rebooting” the franchise, no one can deny the amount of backlash the company will receive if it chooses to move forward with POTC without Johnny Depp. Many fans have come forward to support Johnny Depp over the years, and rebooting the franchise without any of its main characters, which likely means Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom won’t return either, won’t go down well with the big majority of the fanbase.
However, it is important to note that while Depp continues to focus on Modiit becomes even less likely that he will return to Pirates of the Caribbean. Although some insiders have claimed that Disney might want the actor to make an appearance in the franchise’s sixth installment, this has not been confirmed by Depp’s team.
