Indiana basketball fans will have an entire weekend in August to interact with current and former IU basketball players as well as Mike Woodson and his team at a number of events specials.
The Hoosier Basketball Fantasy Experience will take place August 18-21 (Thursday-Sunday) in Bloomington, Indiana and will include a Fantasy Camp, Fan Fest, Fantasy Golf Experience and Women’s Basketball Camp for youth.
The Hoosier Basketball Fantasy Experience is presented by the Mark Cuban Foundation and GoTein Bites in partnership with Hoosier Hysterics.
This one-of-a-kind weekend offers unique access to IU basketball players, alumni, coach Mike Woodson and his staff.
Fans will have the opportunity to participate in on-field activities, take photos with the players and receive autographs.
“Last year’s Hoosier Fan Fest was such a success that we wanted to make it even bigger this year with an entire weekend of events,” said Mark Cuban.
“I couldn’t be happier to continue our partnership with Hoosier Hysterics and ProCamps as I will always support student-athletes and the IU community.”
Here are the four main events of the weekend:
Camp Hoosier Basketball Fantasy — Forty fans will experience what it’s like to be an Indiana basketball player. They will participate in matches in the Simon Skjodt Meeting Room, have access to IU facilities in the Assembly Hall and Cook Room, be coached by current and former IU players, and have personal interaction with current and former IU players, IU coaching staff and special guests. .
Hoosier Fan Party – At the second annual Fan Fest, Indiana players will play in an open gym, dunk contest, shooting contests and skills competitions. Fans in attendance will be able to take photos with UI players and get autographs. This is the first time fans will be able to see the 2022-23 Indiana basketball team that has been chosen as the Big Ten favorite by multiple publications.
Returning stars such as Trayce Jackson-Davis, Race Thompson and Xavier Johnson will be in action. IU’s national top-10 recruiting class, which includes five-star guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, five-star forward Malik Reneau, four-star forward Kaleb Banks and four-star shooting guard CJ Gunn will also make his first public appearance in action at Assembly Hall.
Hoosier Fantasy Golf Experience – One Indiana basketball luminary will be paired with each foursome. Eighteen foursomes are available in the event which will be played at Pfau Golf Course. Youth IU Women’s Basketball Camp – The second annual event features the IU women’s basketball team holding a clinic for players aged 6-13 at Assembly Hall and Cook Hall.
“Last year was an absolute blast for anyone who attended Fan Fest or Youth Camp,” said Hoosier Hysterics’ Eric Pankowski. “Adding the fantasy camp and the golf outing, our goal was to make this weekend a massive celebration of IU basketball while doing everything we could for NIL for IU basketball”
All programs and events will benefit Indiana basketball NIL opportunities.
