Former AFL player and I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! Star Dale Thomas managed to lose an incredible 10 pounds in just 45 days amid the pandemic.
The 33-year-old, who entered Melbourne’s second lockdown, lost weight with the 45-day challenge of F45, focusing on high-intensity interval training.
Dale told Daily Mail Australia this week that his diet consisted mostly of fast food, beer and wine, before embarking on the challenge.

“It was a pretty quick and loose diet, consisting of a lot of fast food, beer, and wine. Something I felt I deserved after a long career in the AFL! he said.
“I’ve always loved chocolate, so it was really a guilty pleasure that I indulged in.
Dale, who played for Collingwood and Carlton in the AFL, changed his diet to include lean protein, fresh veggies and healthy carbs.

‘I definitely had my favorite dishes [delivered] like a chocolate protein shake for breakfast, a handful of trail mix and peanut butter protein balls for snacks, a grilled chicken and pesto wrap for lunch and grilled fish with quinoa for the dinner, ” he said.
Dale supplemented his new diet with 45-minute workouts, consisting of functional movements that increase fat loss and build lean muscle mass.

Set new goals: Dale said the challenge allowed him to ‘restart’ his fitness and hopes to lose another two kilograms.

Dale said the challenge allowed him to “ restart ” his fitness and hopes to lose another one to two kilograms.
“ When it comes to weight loss, I would love to lose another one to two pounds, but mostly hit the gym and turn some of the leftover pudding into muscle from now on! ”
The next 45-day F45 challenge will start on Monday August 17th.
