Emmerdale newcomer Ella Forster (played by former Coronation Street star Paula Lane) has already found herself at the center of the village drama.
The firm’s receptionist was branded a bastard when a dramatic crisis erupted at a funeral.
The service was for a character named June Phillips, who has not yet been introduced to the series, and Ella appeared at her grave to pay her respects.
But when she returned later that day for the service, she spotted Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Simon Naylor’s character, whose name has not been revealed, along with other people in mourning paying tribute to the woman.
Ella discreetly watched from a distance until things turned sour between the two men, which saw them come to blows.

During the service, Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Simon Naylor’s character, whose name has not been revealed, were caught in a dramatic crisis.
Angered and angry, Jonny stormed off, but Simon grabbed his arm three times, becoming more aggressive each time.
Simon called Jonny’s character a “sick monster”, which brought their feud to boiling point, causing Ella to appear from the woods.
Demanding that the couple stop, the couple pushed her away and called her a “bastard.” Ella walked away, upset.
Coronation Street star Paula, who played Kylie Platt on the Cobbled Street from 2010, joined the village as Ella in November 2023.
She was introduced in January as Ella and found herself out of a job when she defended Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), who had attended a vet ball with her partner Paddy Kirk.
Speaking about her new role ahead of taking the plunge, Paula said: “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been very welcoming and I can’t wait to start a new chapter playing the role of Ella.
“I’ve already heard there are big plans for her and I can’t wait to see her lead a new life in the village and hopefully make some friends!”
Producer Kate Brooks said: “Ella is a complex, multi-layered character who comes to the village and certainly makes an impact.
“Apparently she’s a good moral character, but is there more to her than meets the eye?
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome an actress of Paula’s caliber to the series and can’t wait for her to light up our screens.”

Elsewhere in Emmerdale, Vinny Dingle clung to life in the latest episode.
Thursday’s double bill saw Tom King viciously attack Vinny for spending time with Belle.
Tom was supposed to be on a business trip with Vanessa Woodfield, but he was busy spying on Belle at home using her dodgy “doggy camera.”
He became furious after seeing that Vinny was visiting Belle for a dog playdate and became increasingly angry and their couple enjoyed their day.
Tom’s rage was exacerbated after seeing Belle tell his guest that he would one day be someone’s “brilliant boyfriend.”
“You’re kind, you’re thoughtful, and you’re funny. What more could a girl want? Belle assured him.
When Vinny noticed the doggy cam was recording their conversation, Belle went to turn it off and jokingly promised she would give him “love lessons.”
Instead of attending his lecture, Tom returned to the village, arriving just as Belle and Vinny were taking the dogs for a walk in the woods.
Belle was frustrated that her cell phone had lost service, so Vinny offered to take it and try to fix it.
This angered Tom even more because he couldn’t connect to the secret tracker he had put on his device.
Later, Vinny was trying to fix Belle’s phone when Tom sneaked into the trailer and knocked him out from behind.
Tom stood over Vinny’s body at the end of the episode.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and is broadcast on ITVX.
