One lucky Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson fan landed a ticket to WrestleMania after permanently expressing his fandom.
The WWE star, 51, shared a video on Friday of his recent encounter with fan Ruben Rodriguez, who later got The Rock’s autograph tattooed on his arm.
“So cool.” I love stuff like this,” he began the caption. “You hear me say this all the time, but these kinds of moments with people are the BEST part of fame.
“I surprised a @TARGET store for @PAPATUI_ and this dude runs through the store and screams my name right before I walk out the exit.
“He says ‘sign my arm Rock and I’ll get it tattooed along with your Brahma bull tattoo,'” Johnson continued. “I signed it. He gets both tattoos. He takes his shot.
Johnson’s first tattoo was of a Brahma bull, which is also his favorite animal and nickname, inspired by his Taurus sign.
He added: “Then I’m bringing him and his family TO WRESTLEMANIA!! We both enjoyed weekends we will NEVER forget!
“I appreciate you moving with me, my brother with the tattoos!” Love to you and your family! – Final boss’
Rodriguez debuted the ink last month on X (formerly Twitter), raving about the fact that Johnson was a “childhood hero” of mine.
“I will cherish this moment for the rest of my life and I was able to experience it with my daughter. I told Rock if he signed my arm I would get it tattooed and I am a man of my word. Connect us with Wrestlemania tickets #IfYaSmell,” he added.
The Rock granted his wish by treating him and his family to an all-expenses-paid trip to WrestleMania 40 this month in Philadelphia.
‘Dude, holy shit — you did it!! That’s the real, authentic signature and bull right there! It looks great!’ he wrote in response.
“You are a man of your word, just like the Final Boss…” Johnson added. “Pack your bags – because you and your daughter are coming to @wwe #WrestleMania.”
Rodriguez then shared some memories from the big day with X, thanking Johnson.
“I cannot begin to express how grateful and blessed I am for this once in a lifetime experience. The memories made this weekend will stay with me forever,” he wrote. “Thank you Rock, you will forever be THE PEOPLE’S CHAMPION.”
WrestleMania 40 became WWE’s highest-grossing event earlier this month, surpassing 660 million views across social media.
Johnson headlined the event as he and his cousin Roman Reigns triumphed over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, having confirmed the match last month.
Marking his first match in eight years, Johnson and Reigns, 38, previously teased the event during his surprise appearance on Friday Night Smackdown in February.
The Final Boss said there “might be” more matches in the future, adding: “I love what I do. We will see.’
Johnson’s recent return to WWE comes after his appointment to the TKO board of directors in January, following the takeover of the wrestling empire.
“Being on the TKO Board of Directors and taking full ownership of my name, ‘The Rock,’ is not only unprecedented, but incredibly inspiring as my crazy life comes full circle,” he said. declared at the time.
After WrestleMania 40, Johnson is expected to receive over $9 million in TKO stock.
