“I want this to be (my life) forever,” Royval said. “I want this to last forever. I love being in the UFC. Sometimes I wouldn’t say I take it for granted, but it’s like I forget that my dream was to be here, you know? And there was a point where I would kill to be in the position I’m in. Sometimes I wake up and I’m like, “Oh, I have to do this.” I have to do that. And it’s (actually) like, ‘Oh, I can do this, I can do that.’ I love this lifestyle. I like what I do. I love waking up and being able to workout every day, and I just want to keep doing that. I wish I could do this forever.
Even though the life of any athlete is limited, Royval hopes to return to full action in Mexico. Moreno is sure to get some crowd support, but Royval said he gets his share of love, too.
The self-proclaimed “most entertaining” fighter in the division can’t wait to do the dance with a familiar partner on February 24, and while he can’t count on how many chances he’ll get to do something like that, he certainly is. I’m going to enjoy every moment.
