Harrison Ingram has one more year of college eligibility remaining. However, the UNC junior basketball forward is now a projected first-round pick in the eyes of some NBA Draft pundits, leading many to believe he will soon announce he will run away early to start his professional career.
Meanwhile, Ingram had remained completely silent on social media. Until Friday afternoon, his most recent post was a “Let’s rock” replay of the UNC basketball account’s ad about its No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament on the 17 March.
A lot has happened since then. The Tar Heels lost in the Sweet 16 to No. 4 seed Alabama on March 28. And so far this month, third-year head coach Hubert Davis and his staff have seen two players enter the transfer portal, second-year guard Seth Trimble and junior big. man James Okonkwo; In the meantime, UNC coaches have been in contact with several transfers from other schools.

Not only did the 21-year-old Dallas native finish in the team’s top three in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes, but Ingram also provided his floor-spacing weapon of three to the tune of a 38.5 shooting percentage from beyond the arc on 4.6 attempts per game. In doing so, he earned third-team All-ACC honors.
Ingram has until April 27 to declare for the June 26-27 NBA Draft. The deadline to withdraw your name and return to college is June 16.
