Trae Young is blowing up the NBA using some very select emojis.
Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed on Sunday the ten NBA teams that will play on Christmas Day this year. Young’s Atlanta Hawks were not among them. Check out the full list of games:

Dollars to the Celtics
76ers at Knicks
Suns at Nuggets
Lakers at Mavericks

Just minutes after the announcement, Young posted a tweet saying he disagreed with the league’s decision to snub Atlanta.

Young and the Hawks played on Christmas Day last season (which was the franchise’s first Christmas game since 1989). Atlanta will also have a more star-studded squad this year after their blockbuster trade for All-Star guard Dejounte Murray, formerly of the San Antonio Spurs.
But that’s probably less of an NBA affront and more of a trade decision based on the Hawks being uninspiring last season. After their berth in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021, Atlanta barely finished the year above .500 and were swept by the Miami Heat in the first round. The ten teams above are probably much better Christmas Day attractions (although the Hawks aren’t the only notables left on the Dec. 25 list).
