After several complaints in 2019 were revealed by former workers on The Ellen DeGeneres Show regarding racism and promoting a toxic work culture, it marked the beginning of the end for the popular TV show.
Initially, this caused the presenter and comedian to want to quit, although the producers did not accept it and, in fact, they extended her contract until 2022.
Although Ellen didn’t go away, viewers did, with over a million viewers disconnected and the famed presenter’s reputation beginning to crumble.
Even a letter in which she apologized to her staff and viewers for allowing these situations to arise would not prevent the show’s downfall.
On May 26, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will air its final episode, and the former first lady michelle obamatennis star Serena Williamscomedian and late night entertainer David Letterman and reality TV star Kim Kardashian are just some of the names that will appear on the show ahead of the finale.
During the final show, the actress Portia de RossiEllen’s wife, was confirmed.
