Swifties pride themselves on their unquestionable knowledge about all things Taylor Swift.
Whether it’s decoding the clever Easter eggs she slips into her Instagram posts or discovering the connection between the color of her nail polish and her love life, her fervent fan base is well trained in the art by Taylor Tidbits.
But even the most ardent devotees can mishear a word and, as those of us who are self-deprecating tend to do, laugh it off (or would that be toss it aside?).
Maybe you still think Swift sings about the “Starbucks lovers” in “Blank Space” or her “good girl face” in “Style.” Or maybe you learned that you were singing some of his lyrics incorrectly while watching the movie The Eras Tour with subtitles.
Given Swift’s extensive catalog — and her penchant for lyrical chatter — there’s plenty of room for error. But here are 10 of our favorite mondegreens (the official term for misheard lyrics) from Swift Central.
