EXCLUSIVE: Rob Mills reveals how the lockdown with girlfriend Georgie Tunny has been a blessing and answers question about whether a future engagement is planned at the Melbourne Derby Day
Rob Mills is a man in love and he wants the world to know it.
While attending the Melbourne Derby Day on Saturday, the former Australian Idol star told Daily Mail Australia that “things are going very well” with his girlfriend, ABC News Breakfast presenter Georgie Tunny.
The 39-year-old also remained silent when asked if a pledge was on the cards, instead repeating how things “were going”.
No engagement yet! Speaking to Daily Mail Australia during the Melbourne Derby Day on Saturday, Rob Mills revealed that he was not engaged, but that his relationship with his longtime girlfriend and ABC reporter Georgie Tunny (both on the photo) is going very well.
Rob said it was an honor to have gone through the grueling 18-month Melbourne lockdown with Georgie.
“The lockdown was good for me, I live with my wonderful partner,” he said proudly.
The Dancing With The Stars All-Stars contestant has been dating Georgie since 2018.
The two looked more loved than ever in the blink of an eye shared with Rob’s Instagram on Saturday, with the couple attending Derby Day together.

For the event, Rob wore a gray three-piece pinstripe suit, paired with a white shirt and polka dot tie.
Meanwhile, his stunning journalist girlfriend Georgie donned a Rachel Gilbert tuxedo dress and accessorized with a matching monochrome top hat.
In August, the musical theater artist revealed how he convinced her to date him.

Rob told the Sydney Morning Herald that he first fell in love with the 29-year-old when he saw her on TV.
“I watched TV on ABC News Breakfast and thought to myself, ‘Who is this ?! “She was beautiful and articulate. I needed to know her,” he said at the time.

Although Georgie wasn’t initially sure if the message was actually from Rob, it didn’t take much to convince her to go on a date.
The TV presenter was a “big fan” of Australian Idol when Rob was a candidate.
The couple have since taken another step forward in their relationship, with Georgie moving in with Rob in early 2020.

Earlier this month, Rob wrapped up his stint on Dancing With The Stars All-Stars, which is set to air on Channel Seven in 2022.
“It was more difficult, there is more pressure because there are people who have already been there.
“It was a really fun job, I wanted to be better than last time, after leaving the second week. I can’t wait for people to see it,” he added.
