The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder agreed in a trade Thursday night, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. A total of eight players will be involved, four from each team, along with a 2025 second-round pick heading to Houston.
Houston gets:
- Derrick’s favors
- Ty Jerome
- Moe Harkless
- Theo Maledon
- 2025 second-round pick
Oklahoma City gets:
- David Nwaba
- Sterling Brown
- Trey Burk
- Marquis Chriss
According to Wojnarowski, the Thunder will rack up two trade exceptions while moving well under the luxury tax, with the second-round pick compensating Houston for taking extra pay.
Cap-centric deal for both teams: Thunder wins two trade exceptions and loses about $10 million in the luxury tax. The Rockets get a second-round pick for accepting a $1 million salary. Favors will have value as a save center, or elsewhere in a trade market as well. https://t.co/k8zpgthwOh

Favors, the No. 3 pick in the 2010 draft, joins his fourth team in four years after spending most of his career with the Utah Jazz. The 31-year-old big man has averaged 5.4 points and 5.2 rebounds since moving to a full-time bench position the past two seasons.
