RC Cola’s sales in the Philippines rose 67% after its video ad gained viral attention online.
Advertising agency Gigil’s video spot has been widely viewed online, with the video garnering 51 million views and 366,000 shares on social media platforms since it went live in November.
RC Cola sales increased the week of January 13, compared to the week before the video launched in November, Gigil said in an email Thursday.
American TV talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show has since featured the video in a game segment titled “Ellen and Twitch Guess What’s Going To Happen Next In This Crazy Commercial,” which now has nearly 500,000 views online.
The ad agency said it expects higher brand impressions from the global audience.
