Authorities closed a shopping mall in southeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday amid reports of a shooting.
Police and several ambulances responded Sunday afternoon to calls about a shooting at Park City Center in Lancaster, Pa., About 70 miles west of Philadelphia. Police said the mall will be closed until Monday.
No serious injuries were immediately reported, authorities said
A police official said the scene had been stabilized and police said in a brief statement that there was “no immediate threat or danger to the public at this time.”
WPVI-TV reported that more than one person was injured, but not all injuries appear to be life threatening, police said.
The mall’s website says more than 150 stores make up the shopping area in the heart of Lancaster County.
Lancaster Online reported that a video posted to social media shows a woman running and screaming after apparently hearing two gunshots, and one of three people close to each other appeared to fall to the ground after that the shots rang out.
Lancaster, the seat of a county of the same name in south-central Pennsylvania, has a population of approximately 60,000 and is the heart of the state’s Amish country.
