The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to arrive next month, and some of the specs have already been released. The camera configuration was supposed to be 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + 5MP, but thanks to the Twitter leak Ishan Agarwal, we know more details about the configuration.
The biggest news is that the 48 MP main camera will have the latest Sony IMX689 sensor – the same as in the Oppo Find X2 Pro.

According to Agarwal, the main snapper will be delivered with an f / 1.78 aperture, while the second 48MP camera will be an ultra-wide angle snapper with an f / 2.2 lens at the front.
It will have the Sony IMX586 sensor which was originally in the main cam of the predecessor OnePlus 7T Pro and will provide a 120 degree FoV. The 8 MP shooter is a telephoto with an f / 2.44 aperture, offering a 3x optical zoom, so no periscope configuration of any kind here.
There is also a fourth camera, which will have a 5 MP “color filter” which will help in certain shooting modes. Ishan Agarwal added OnePlus will introduce a new 3-HDR video, plus improved cinematic, OIS and EIS effects for good measure.
